Our conscious minds are overwhelmed with millions of pieces of information every second, but we can only process about 40 of those. So, what happens to the rest? Our unconscious mind takes over and processes those for us, in what PwC calls ‘cognitive shortcuts.’ Our brains are wired to make those decisions for us using past experiences to make assumptions. Assumptions are part of being human but it is also what puts us on autopilot and prevents us from really looking at each situation and evaluating it uniquely. Listen in as Bryana, Rae, and Dewey talk about assumptions, their humanness, and how to avoid them.
